ABOUT ME

After high school I gained 40 pounds because I was no longer as active as I was when I was involved in sports. In 2017 I got engaged and started doing H.I.I.T. in my bedroom for extra cardio to lose weight. With the motivation of getting married in 7 months, I lost 40 pounds and had no muscle! After I got married, I decided to get serious about lifting weights to get toned. Four months later, I decided to work on getting my Personal Training Certificate! It took me pursuing my Personal Training Certificate to figure out that I needed to lift heavier and eat more to gain the muscle I desired. I quickly became passionate about sharing the information I was learning with other women online. Which led to me training women 1:1 online. When Donald and I started talking about having kids in the future I wanted to be in the best shape of my life before getting pregnant. That was when I did my first bulk to really help put on muscle for 12 weeks. After the 12 weeks I went into a small deficit to help lose fat.
I got pregnant with our first, Drew Olivia, in 2020. During my pregnancy, I decided to fulfill my dream of helping other moms in their fitness journey by becoming Pre/Postnatal Certified. I went from 140 to 190 during this pregnancy while making sure to stay active till I went to the hospital. After I gave birth, I breastfed for 3 months, and for my own mental health and her health, I decided to wean her off. For the first 6 months, I didn’t see any weight loss after I had her. After ending my breastfeeding journey, I prioritized weightlifting, steps, water, nutrition, and protein and got down from 180 to 145 lbs. And now, 2.5 years later, we are pregnant with our baby boy, who is due December 31, 2023!

Over the last 7.5 years of working on my fitness journey, I have learned that perfection isn’t the secret to success. Perfection is what gets us to give up quickly and feel frustrated when we don’t see results. I learned that you can reach your fitness goals while also living life. You can go to birthday parties and vacations and eat all the food and still reach your fitness goals. It’s not about cutting out sugars or carbs or carbonated drinks. It’s really finding the balance that works for you and your daily life. It’s about focusing on becoming stronger and more confident from the inside out.
